“R.O.P.A.” (Reception of Oocytes from the Partner) is a first-person documentary that intimately follows the journey to motherhood of Rosario and Nadia, a couple of women who began this path in 2022.
Amid endless paperwork with health insurance providers, bureaucratic mazes, sperm banks, medical tests, injections, hormonal imbalances, embryos that fail to reach the long-awaited fifth day, and a support network that holds them through messages, hugs, and silences, "R.O.P.A." captures everything — both visible and invisible — that is part of the quest for pregnancy.
